T-Mobile is the leader among telecommunication companies in Poland, with over 11M users on board. A few years ago, to increase competitiveness, they decided to expand their offer to sell fiber optic internet connections to their current and future clients. To do so, the company needed an updated CRM system for T-Mobile consultants, which would enable sales and post-sales services of internet connection.
T-Mobile Poland has collaborated with Pretius for over 9 years. One result of that collaboration was a CRM system, which made this vendor a natural choice in this case. After a thorough analysis of business needs, the software architects from Pretius proposed to expand T-Mobile Poland’s current CRM system with new architectural components. For this purpose, a new Kubernetes cloud was created, on which microservices supporting the sales process were implemented. These included: Order Inventory with an order database, Product Inventory with a customer product database, Agreement Inventory with a contract database, and Place Inventory with an address database. Moreover, these microservices were integrated with the API by TMForum – a global association for service providers in the telecommunications industry).
Thanks to the expanded CRM system, T-Mobile Poland could provide their clients with a convergent offer (internet, telephone, TV). That enhanced their competitiveness relative to other operators in the market. The new functionalities allowed them to book an inspection of the internet device condition and the visit to replace it, to verify the availability of fiber-optic internet at a given address, and so on. It’s important to note that T-Mobile Poland doesn’t own optical fibers but collaborates with various vendors – which is possible thanks to the new system. After investing in the convergent strategy and developing the new software, T-Mobile got almost 270k new clients in Q2 of 2021. Pretius and T-Mobile Poland continue the collaboration, creating new software solutions together.
